The Q-Sense Explorer Electrochemistry enables the combination of QCM-D and electrochemistry on the same surface.
Electrochemistry and QCM-D at the same surface
Typical electrochemical measurements include cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. In combination with QCM-D, which gives real-time monitoring of mass and viscoelastic changes, this enables the following experiments to name a few:
- Expansion/contraction of polymer films
- Nucleation and growth of polymer films
- Electrostatic interactions with (bio)molecules
- Membrane potential measurements

The Q-Sense Explorer Electrochemistry requires a separate potentiostat. Contact us for guidance on compatible potentiostats.
