Join us for this workshop, where you will here presentation on "QSense QCM-D analysis in virus research – instrument portfolio and three user case examples"
QSense® QCM-D (Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation monitoring) is a real-time, surface-sensitive technology that has been used to explore and characterize various aspects of biological systems and biomolecular interactions for more than two decades. The technology is utilized in both basic and applied research, and over the years, QSense analysis has shed light on several different aspects of virus behavior and virus interaction with its surrounding. Here we present the technology and three recent studies from different areas, i) analysis of competition for membrane receptors, ii) development of broad-spectrum antiviral drugs, and iii) analysis of virus affinity to different surfaces.
During this session, we will be joined by Josh Jackman, one of the authors of the antiviral drug development study, who will be available to answer your questions.
