Fabrication Of Nano‐Silver Thin Films Using Self Assembly And Its Interaction With Proteins
The silver nanoparticle thin films were prepared with an aim to use them for sensing of biomolecules. The monolayers of arachidic acid were deposited on glass plates by Langmuir Blodgett (LB) technique and silver nanoparticles thin films were deposited within the arachidic acid films. Small angle XRD studies confirm the formation of ordered array of nanoparticles. These thin films were treated with a model protein, bovine serum albumin (BSA a natural protein). From the optical absorption spectra a shift in the intensity as well as lambda max (λmax) could be observed when silver thin films were treated with BSA.
