Langmuir-Blodgett films of Au(dmit)2: a time-domain optimization
The structure of conductive Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films based on dialkyldimethylammonium-Au(dmit)2(2Cn-Au(dmit)2) salt is studied introducing a novel film-forming parameter, waiting time (Tw), which is defined as the time between the application of spreading solvent and the onset of compression. The π-A isotherms indicate that the salt coagulates to form crystallites immediately after the application of the Au(dmit)2 LB films were obtained in case Tw = 30 and 90 min, respectively.
