The paper deals with the studies of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) corrole and corrole-fullerene dyad layers with the use of electronic and vibrational absorption and reflection-absorption spectroscopies. UV-vis and IR spectra were recorded with polarized and unpolarized light to evaluate orientation of the molecules with respect to a solid substrate and to describe interaction of the corrole and corrole-fullerene dyad with various substrates. The electronic spectra of the corrole and its dyad with a fullerene in solutions were also recorded and discussed. Gathered new data can potentially be useful for practical tailoring of molecular devices. (c) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
