This research aimed to gain a synergic feature on the wood surfaces. This novel biomimetic surface is a combination of anti-UV and hydrophobic properties. The surface-functionalized with copper (II) chloride (CuCl2), ferrous sulfate heptahydrate (FeSO4 center dot 7H(2)O), ethyl alcohol (EtOH), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), and potassium nitrate (KNO3). Hydrophobization of the surface have provided by using the octadecyltrichlorosilane was measured with water contact angle analyses. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction; were observed with scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray was used for the determination of new functional groups. Lastly, the magnetic properties of the new surface form were affected by a UV-Vis spectrometer. According to the outcomes, the new biomimetic cover design has located on the lignocellulosic surface. The water contact angle of the new surface has measured as theta gamma 98.1 degrees. The UV absorption range was from 400 to 500 nm. The sensitized biomimetic form on wood surface improves the resistance of wood to water and prevents UV-aging. This new form will decrease repair costs and increase the sustainability of wood-based materials by protecting natural sources.
