    Preparation of polymeric material containing UV absorber for application in paper-based relics protection

    In this work, a series of polymeric materials were prepared with different content of UV absorber 2-(2 ' -hydroxy-3 ' ,5 ' -di-tert-butylphenyl)-5-chloro-benzotriazole (UV-327). The paper-based relics protective properties of the UV-5 coating were evaluated by anti-pollution ability, dry heat and UV accelerated aging tests. The anti-pollution experiment results showed that the water and oil drops on the paper sample could be wiped directly and UV-5 coating could prevent water and oil from penetrating into the paper interior. Furthermore, the reversible test indicated that the protective coating could be directly removed with ethyl acetate and paper sample had little change after removing the coating.
