The rheological behavior of Langmuir layers of polydimethylsiloxanes with various molecular weights was studied by using barrier oscillation method. The viscous and elastic components of thin layers of organosiloxanes were evaluated at the air-water interface. Transformations in the viscoelastic behavior of samples at different compression ratios were shown. Based on the well-known models, the analysis of the correlation between the elastic behavior of the films and the conformation of macromolecules depending on their length was made.
