Phenyl-substituted zinc naphthalocyaninate forms amorphous floating layers at the air/water interface. Floating monolayers are generated when the area per one molecule value (A(mol)) lying between 1.90 and 0.97 nm(2). When A(mol) <= 0.97 nm(2), amorphous bilayers are formed.
