What is the difference between a custom and standard sensor?

Standard Sensors:
Established Production: These sensors have been in production for a long time, ensuring a solid production protocol.
Comprehensive Data: They come with thorough technical information, test results, and supporting data.

Custom Sensors:
• Customer-Driven Production: These sensors were produced based on specific customer requests and now are available to other customers.
• Limited Data: Due to the novelty of their production protocol, some technical information (e.g., roughness, thickness, shelf-life) may be missing.
• Additional Testing: Customers can request additional tests (e.g., roughness, thickness) at an extra cost. However, these test results will only be valid for the specific batch received, not for all sensors of that customized type.

Is it possible to produce a sensor with our own raw material/sample?

Yes! You can submit your request along with details about your material. If the material is compatible with our production technology and devices, we will produce the sensor for you.

Is it possible to ask for an expedited order?

Yes! When submitting your request, mention the need for expedited processing. Our production team will inform you about the additional costs associated with expediting your order.

Are there any discounts for ordering a higher number of sensor boxes?

Yes, we offer discounts for 5-9 Boxes and even higher discounts for 10+ Boxes discounts.
We also offer trays of 100 sensors for Gold and Silicon Dioxide sensors at a better price compared to boxes.

Can we use a sensor multiple time?

Due to the sensitivity of the QCM-D technique, even micro-scale contamination can significantly impact measurement results. While it might be possible to clean and reuse sensors using optimized cleaning protocols and agents, we cannot guarantee sensor performance after the first use. Therefore, for the most reliable outcomes, we recommend considering each sensor for single use only.
